The Full Story
About
The UK Wheelchair Users Association is a fully funded, not-for-profit organisation created by wheelchair users, for wheelchair users and their families.
Our purpose is simple: to support one another by sharing knowledge, experiences, and practical solutions.
What makes us different is that we’re built on lived experience. Our members face the daily challenges of using mobility equipment and managing health needs, making our advice genuine and relevant.
Funding comes from our founding members until official income sources (such as advertising or sponsorship) are established. Membership is always free, and we never request money from members.
How we succeed: by members posting their needs and sharing the best deals they’ve found on equipment such as wheelchairs, beds, and other essentials. This helps everyone make informed choices and save money.
Current projects: we’re negotiating special deals on mobility scooters and equipment from global manufacturers, giving members access to technology and prices not normally available in the UK.
We remain impartial because we don’t rely on sales. Other cross-border opportunities are in progress and will be shared regularly.
Our platform is an information exchange — combining NHS guidance, articles, research, and member reviews of products and services that improve quality of life.
From wheelchairs to everyday tools, our goal is to make life safer, simpler, and more enjoyable for all.
