Founding Members

We’re delighted to introduce the founding members of the UK Wheelchair Users Association: Mike, Elizabeth and Melanie. Thank you for visiting our site and for your interest in what we’re building.

This initiative was born from a heartfelt conversation among us. During a casual get-together, we began discussing the everyday realities faced by wheelchair users. Mike shared his experiences, which resonated deeply and sparked a shared determination to do more. From that moment, the seeds of this association were planted — built on empathy, collaboration, and a desire to help others facing similar challenges.

We firmly believe that wheelchair users and their families deserve more support, and we’re here to make that happen.
